SourceVault

SourceVault is a web + mobile AI-assisted reporting notebook built for journalists who need airtight sourcing without drowning in messy docs, chats, and audio. It captures interviews (audio upload or live recording), transcribes them, and lets you tag claims to exact timestamps, documents, and messages. The core is a “claim-to-evidence” workflow: every statement in your draft can be linked to supporting material, producing an exportable verification packet for editors or legal review. It also includes secure contact cards for sources, consent/embargo fields, and a simple chain-of-custody log for sensitive files. This is not a newsroom CMS or publishing tool; it’s a verification and source-management layer that fits alongside Google Docs/Word. Realistically, the product wins only if it is faster than existing note apps and meaningfully reduces correction/legal risk.
