SpaceSignal is a mobile app (with optional smartwatch support) that helps people manage personal space and interruptions in real life. You set a “status” (Open, Busy, Do Not Disturb, Approach Only If Urgent) and choose contexts like work, gym, commuting, or social events. The app generates a clean lock-screen card and a scannable QR that explains your boundary in plain language, including what counts as “urgent.” For teams or friend groups, you can share a private link so others can check your availability before walking over or calling. It also includes a lightweight “boundary scripts” library for common situations (coworker hovering, strangers in line, roommates) and a one-tap escalation option: “Please give me space” displayed large. This is not magic—people can ignore it—but it reduces friction and gives users a socially acceptable cue.
