SpareGrid

SpareGrid is a mobile + web app for communities and small organizations to track and share real-time availability of scarce essentials (water, fuel, generators, medical supplies, bulk food) during shortages. Users post what they have, what they need, and what they can trade or lend, with quantity, expiry, location radius, and pickup windows. The app prioritizes verification over hype: photo proof, receipt scans, and reputation scoring reduce scams and misinformation. A simple “scarcity map” shows nearby confirmed resources and expected depletion based on recent check-ins. For organizations (NGOs, shelters, small municipalities), a dashboard aggregates requests, flags critical gaps, and exports reports for procurement and donors. This is not a magic solution—logistics and trust are hard—but it can reduce wasted time, duplicate runs, and hoarding by making local supply more transparent and actionable.
