SpareRoute
SpareRoute is a web app (with optional lightweight desktop agent) that helps small and mid-sized companies build practical redundancy for the things that actually break: internet links, DNS, cloud regions, payment processors, and key SaaS dependencies. It continuously maps your “primary path” for critical workflows (e.g., checkout, support intake, internal VPN) and generates a tested “spare path” playbook with step-by-step cutover actions, owners, and required credentials. It runs scheduled failover drills in a sandbox or during low-traffic windows, captures evidence, and produces audit-ready reports. This is not a magic auto-failover tool; it’s a realistic redundancy manager that reduces human error and time-to-recover by making backups executable and rehearsed. It integrates with common stacks (Cloudflare, AWS, Azure, GCP, Stripe, Twilio, Okta) and alerts when redundancy assumptions drift (expired certs, missing IAM perms, outdated runbooks).
