SpecForge
SpecForge is a web app (with optional desktop wrapper) that converts scattered product inputs into a structured, reviewable software specification. Users paste notes, meeting transcripts, support tickets, and competitor links; the AI generates a PRD, user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and a lightweight API/data model outline. It also produces a “risk register” that flags ambiguous requirements, missing decisions, and likely scope traps. The goal is not to replace product managers, but to eliminate the slow, error-prone first draft and reduce back-and-forth with engineering. Specs are versioned, diffable, and exportable to Jira/Linear/GitHub Issues. The app is brutally strict: if inputs are vague, it forces clarifying questions before generating final outputs. This makes it useful for small teams that can’t afford weeks of discovery but still need clarity before building.
