SpecHandshake

SpecHandshake is a web + desktop app that helps companies keep internal and partner APIs interoperable as they evolve. It ingests OpenAPI/AsyncAPI/GraphQL schemas, traffic samples, and version histories, then generates a compatibility matrix and “safe change” guidance (breaking vs non-breaking) across services. The product focuses on the messy reality: partial specs, inconsistent naming, and undocumented edge cases. It provides contract tests, semantic diffing, and a lightweight adapter generator for common transformations (field rename, enum expansion, type widening). It integrates with CI so merges can be blocked when changes would break downstream consumers, and it can produce human-readable change notes for partners. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI assists with mapping suggestions and documentation, but enforcement relies on deterministic rules and tests.
