SpecScape

SpecScape is a web app (with optional desktop plugin later) that converts landscape plan PDFs and CAD exports into a structured, editable specification and procurement package. Upload a plan set, mark the sheet types once, and the app extracts plant schedules, material callouts, irrigation notes, and typical details into a standardized spec format (CSI-style or your firm template). It then flags missing information (no soil volume, no root barrier notes, inconsistent plant quantities, missing submittals) and generates a bid-ready scope of work plus a bill of materials. It’s an AI-assisted workflow, but with hard rules and checklists so it doesn’t hallucinate critical requirements. The MVP focuses on plan-to-spec and QA flags, not full design. This is unglamorous, but it saves real hours and reduces change orders—where firms actually bleed money.
