SpecSentry

SpecSentry is a web app with an optional Adobe Illustrator plugin that validates packaging artwork against real print and regulatory requirements before files ever reach a vendor. Users upload AI/PDF/IDML exports and select a packaging type (flexible film, carton, label, shrink sleeve). The app runs a rules-based preflight plus AI-assisted checks to flag common, expensive failures: missing/incorrect bleeds, barcode quiet zones, minimum type size, overprint/knockout issues, spot color naming, total ink coverage, dieline layer misuse, and inconsistent net weight or ingredient statements across SKUs. It generates a vendor-ready report and a “fix list” for designers, plus a sign-off trail for brand and compliance. This is not a full design tool; it’s a quality gate that reduces reprints, delays, and awkward vendor back-and-forth.
