SpecSnap helps DIYers and small shops avoid the most common aftermarket headache: parts that “should fit” but don’t. You scan the part’s barcode/label and snap photos of key dimensions (with a simple on-screen guide). The app builds a quick spec sheet and compares it to known OEM/aftermarket reference specs for your vehicle/trim, then flags mismatch risks (connector type, rotor thickness, sensor plug, bolt pattern, etc.). It also creates a shareable “fitment receipt” you can send to a supplier to speed up returns or exchanges. This is not magic—coverage starts with high-fail categories (brakes, sensors, filters, belts) and expands as data grows. The value is reducing wasted labor, downtime, and return friction, not replacing catalogs.
