SpecSnap

SpecSnap is a mobile + web AI app that converts a single room photo into a practical, contractor-ready color and materials spec sheet. Users snap a photo, then the app identifies dominant wall colors, trim, flooring, and key surfaces, and suggests the closest real-world matches from major paint brands and common material libraries (LVP, tile, wood stains). It outputs a simple bill of materials with finish recommendations (sheen, durability, cleanability) and a “risk flags” section (metamerism, undertone clashes, lighting issues). The goal isn’t perfect color science—it’s reducing the time and mistakes in getting from inspiration to an orderable list. Users can export a PDF for clients/contractors and save versions per room. Realistically, it won’t replace in-person sampling, but it can cut early-stage decision churn and prevent obvious mismatches.
