SpecSnap is a mobile + web AI app that converts a quick room photo sweep into a practical “design brief” homeowners and contractors can actually use. Users capture a short video or 6–10 photos; the app estimates room dimensions, detects doors/windows, and outputs a structured spec sheet: approximate measurements, wall counts, ceiling height guess, finish notes, and a punch-list of unknowns to verify on-site. It also generates a simple 2D sketch and an exportable PDF for bids. This is not a replacement for professional surveying—accuracy will be “good enough to quote ranges,” not permit-grade. The value is speed: getting from vague inspiration to a concrete scope in under 10 minutes, reducing back-and-forth with designers/GCs and preventing missing-line-item surprises.
