SpecSnap
SpecSnap is a web + desktop (Electron) AI-assisted product design handoff tool that converts messy early-stage design inputs into a clean, manufacturer-ready spec pack. You upload sketches, photos of prototypes, rough CAD exports, and notes; the app extracts dimensions, materials, finishes, tolerances, assembly steps, and critical-to-quality requirements into a structured template. It also generates a BOM, packaging callouts, and a revision log, then exports to PDF plus a supplier-friendly link. The reality: most product teams waste days translating “design intent” into something factories can quote without endless back-and-forth. SpecSnap focuses on that boring, expensive gap. It won’t replace CAD or industrial design tools; it sits between design and sourcing/engineering to reduce misquotes, wrong materials, and revision chaos. Pricing is per project or per seat, aimed at small teams who feel the pain immediately.
