SpecSnap

SpecSnap is a mobile + web app for architects and site teams that converts messy field documentation into structured punch-list items. On-site, users take photos, dictate quick notes, and the app auto-tags location, trade, severity, and likely spec section. It then generates a standardized issue card with suggested wording, due date, and responsible party, and syncs to a project dashboard. The goal is not to replace BIM or full construction management suites, but to eliminate the repetitive admin work that makes architects hate site visits: naming files, writing the same issue descriptions, and chasing responses. Export to PDF/CSV and push tasks to common tools (Procore, Autodesk Build) via integrations. Realistically, accuracy won’t be perfect; the product wins by being “good enough” and fast, with easy human correction and strong audit trails.
