SpecTrace

SpecTrace is a web + mobile app for small physics labs and teaching labs that need quick, defensible analysis of spectroscopy data (Raman/IR/UV-Vis). Users upload a CSV or instrument export, the app cleans baselines, detects peaks, and compares against curated reference libraries to suggest likely materials and confidence scores. It generates a short report with plots, peak tables, and method notes suitable for lab notebooks or class submissions. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional signal processing for baseline correction/peak finding, plus AI-assisted similarity matching and anomaly flags when the data quality is too poor to trust. It won’t replace expert interpretation, but it will save time on repetitive analysis, reduce student errors, and standardize outputs across instruments and instructors. Pricing is per-seat for education and per-lab for small R&D teams.
