SpecVerify is a mobile + web app that helps classic and collectible car buyers validate whether a car matches its claimed factory configuration before money changes hands. Users scan or photograph VIN tags, engine stamps, gearbox numbers, body plates, and key option identifiers; the app guides them with model-specific checklists and photo angles. It then produces a “Spec Confidence Report” that flags inconsistencies (wrong stamp format, impossible option combos, mismatched production ranges) and recommends next verification steps. This is not a magic authenticity oracle—many marques have incomplete records—so the product is positioned as a fast pre-purchase filter and documentation organizer, not a final authority. Revenue comes from per-report fees, subscriptions for dealers/brokers, and paid marque data packs built with reputable registries and specialists. The goal: reduce expensive mistakes and wasted inspections.
