SpendNexus

SpendNexus is a web app (with optional Slack/Teams bot) for cloud spend governance that blocks costly mistakes at the moment they happen: during provisioning and CI/CD. It connects to AWS, Azure, and GCP plus Terraform, Kubernetes, and major CI tools to enforce budget-aware guardrails (instance types, regions, GPU usage, storage classes, data egress, and tagging) with approvals and automated exceptions. Instead of only reporting after the bill arrives, it estimates cost impact per change, requires an owner and cost center, and can auto-downgrade or schedule non-prod resources. It includes a lightweight policy-as-code layer, an audit trail for finance, and chargeback-ready allocation. It’s realistic: it won’t “optimize everything,” but it will reliably prevent the top 20% of actions that cause 80% of surprise spend.
