SpendPact
SpendPact is a mobile app that turns “I should spend less” into enforceable commitments. You set a weekly discretionary budget (dining, shopping, entertainment) and choose a consequence if you break it: a donation to a cause you dislike, a transfer to a “boring” savings account, or an accountability ping to a friend. The app connects to your bank via Plaid, auto-categorizes transactions, and shows a simple “safe to spend today” number based on your remaining budget and days left. It’s not another dashboard—it's a behavior tool. You can create short-term pacts (e.g., 30 days) and run experiments like “no delivery apps” with clear rules. The goal is fewer decisions, faster feedback, and real stakes. Expect some churn: people who don’t want friction will quit; the product is for those who do.
