SpendPulse is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for public-sector budget execution teams to track commitments, obligations, and payments against appropriations in near real time. It ingests data from the government’s ERP/IFMIS and bank statement feeds, then reconciles spend to budget lines, flags anomalies (duplicate invoices, overspending risk, stalled approvals), and produces audit-ready trails. It includes configurable controls (pre-commit checks, threshold alerts, segregation-of-duties warnings) and standardized reports for finance leadership and oversight bodies. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional workflows for approvals and reporting, plus AI to classify transactions, detect outliers, and auto-draft variance explanations. The honest reality: selling to government is slow and integration-heavy, so the MVP should focus on one system and one agency type, proving measurable reduction in month-end close time and budget overruns.
