SpendSleuth

SpendSleuth is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that turns messy procurement data into a searchable, comparable vendor intelligence layer for watchdogs and procurement teams. It ingests contract awards, bid tabs, amendments, and vendor registries from public portals (starting with a few high-coverage jurisdictions), then normalizes vendor identities and flags potential risk signals: repeat sole-source patterns, unusually frequent change orders, price outliers against similar line items, and vendor relationships across agencies. This is an AI-assisted app: AI helps extract fields from PDFs, match vendor names, and summarize contract histories, but all outputs are auditable with source links and confidence scores. The product is realistic because it focuses on “good enough” transparency and triage rather than perfect fraud detection. It sells as a workflow tool: alerts, saved searches, and exportable evidence packets for reporting or internal review.
