SpiceSnapper

SpiceSnapper is a mobile app (with optional web dashboard) that helps home cooks and small food businesses keep spices fresh, organized, and actually used. You scan a spice jar label or receipt, and the app builds a pantry list with purchase date, best-by guidance, and storage tips. It nudges you when high-impact spices are likely stale and suggests simple “use-it-up” recipes based on what’s nearing the end of its flavor window. It also generates a one-tap shopping list grouped by store aisle and can track preferred brands and dietary constraints. This is an AI + traditional app: AI is used for label/receipt parsing and recipe suggestions, while core inventory and reminders are straightforward. Realistically, it wins only if it’s faster than manual lists and doesn’t nag—otherwise users churn quickly.
