SpillShield is a mobile + web app for zoos and exotic animal facilities to standardize zoonotic exposure reporting and response. Staff can log bites, scratches, aerosol exposures, fecal contact, needle-sticks, and PPE failures in under a minute, with species, enclosure, and shift context. The app generates a facility-specific action checklist (isolation steps, cleaning protocol, who to notify, and documentation) and creates an audit-ready incident record. A lightweight rules engine maps common species-pathogen risk patterns to recommended next steps (not medical diagnosis), and a dashboard highlights hotspots by enclosure, team, and time. Realistically, this won’t replace veterinarians, occupational health, or public health reporting—but it will reduce chaos, missing details, and delayed escalation. It’s built for compliance, consistency, and faster containment, not flashy “AI predictions.”
