SplitLedger

SplitLedger is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for indie labels and distributors to manage royalty splits, recoupment, and payouts without spreadsheet hell. You import statements from Spotify/Apple/YouTube and your distributor, map ISRC/UPC to releases, then assign split rules (including changing splits over time, advances, and recoupment waterfalls). The system generates artist-facing portals showing earnings, deductions, and payment status, and can trigger payouts via bank transfer. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI is used to auto-classify messy statement line items, detect duplicates, reconcile mismatched track metadata, and flag anomalies (sudden drop-offs, suspicious territories, missing ISRCs). Brutal truth: you won’t beat majors on enterprise features, but you can win by being fast, transparent, and tailored to small teams who just need accurate numbers and fewer angry artists.
