SplitLedger

SplitLedger is a mobile + web app that helps separating couples document, categorize, and reconcile shared finances during separation and divorce. It focuses on the unglamorous reality: missing statements, disputed expenses, unclear reimbursements, and constant back-and-forth. Users connect bank/credit accounts (or upload PDFs), tag transactions as “joint,” “personal,” “kids,” or “disputed,” and generate clean monthly summaries that can be shared with a mediator, attorney, or accountant. A guided workflow prompts users to capture one-off items like moving costs, temporary support, childcare, and asset-related payments. The app also maintains an audit trail (who tagged what, when) to reduce “you changed it” arguments. It’s not therapy and it won’t magically make things amicable—it's a practical ledger that reduces time, fees, and conflict by making the numbers hard to argue with.
