SplitLedger is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that sits between your distributor payouts and your collaborators. Instead of manually calculating splits, chasing invoices, or relying on “trust me” spreadsheets, you set split rules per track once (percentages, recoup terms, advances, featured artists, producers). When money arrives from supported distributors and platforms, SplitLedger reconciles the statement, applies the rules, and triggers payouts to each collaborator with clear audit trails. It also handles edge cases that break most tools: partial recoup, territory-specific rates, multiple versions (clean/explicit), and retroactive split changes with proper adjustment entries. This is not a distributor; it’s a payout and accounting layer that makes existing distribution less painful. Realistically, integrations and statement normalization are the hard part, so the MVP should start with 1–2 distributors and CSV ingestion, then expand.
