SplitProof is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that helps independent artists, producers, and small labels create legally useful split agreements and a clean audit trail before a song goes live. Users enter contributors, percentages, roles, and identifiers (IPI/CAE, ISNI), then invite collaborators to e-sign. The app timestamps every change, stores version history, and generates shareable PDFs plus platform-ready metadata exports. It also tracks “pending splits” and nags collaborators who haven’t confirmed—because unconfirmed splits are where releases get delayed and friendships get wrecked. This is not a magic royalty-collection service; it’s a pre-release rights hygiene tool that reduces downstream chaos with distributors, PROs, and labels. An AI assistant can flag common mistakes (percentages not totaling 100, missing writer vs publisher splits, inconsistent names) and suggest what data you’re missing, but humans still approve everything.
