SplitShield

SplitShield is a web app (with optional lightweight mobile dashboard) for small-to-mid merchants who offer BNPL and installments and are getting crushed by disputes, returns, and “friendly fraud.” It plugs into Shopify and Stripe, then monitors order events (delivery, returns, customer support tickets) and BNPL-specific signals (partial captures, installment status, refund timing). The app generates a dispute-ready evidence packet automatically (policies, tracking, customer comms, return status) and flags high-risk orders before fulfillment so merchants can require signature, delay shipment, or switch payment method. It also provides a BNPL reconciliation view that maps payouts, fees, refunds, and chargebacks to individual orders—something many merchants still do in spreadsheets. This is not glamorous, but it’s a real operational pain point with clear ROI: fewer losses, less time, and cleaner books.
