SplitShield is a mobile + web app that gives users a single, truthful view of all their buy-now-pay-later obligations and upcoming payment hits—across providers and cards—then blocks “payment pileups” with proactive controls. Users connect their bank accounts and email inbox to detect BNPL plans, installment charges, and merchant receipts, even when providers don’t offer clean integrations. The app forecasts cash-flow by payday, flags weeks where multiple installments collide, and suggests a simple action plan: move a due date (when possible), set aside sinking funds, or pause new BNPL usage. It also includes a “checkout sanity check” browser extension that estimates the real monthly burden before users commit. This is not a lender; it’s a damage-control dashboard that helps users avoid late fees, overdrafts, and credit spiral behavior.
