SpoilerShield

SpoilerShield is a mobile app (iOS/Android) plus a browser extension that blocks TV/series spoilers in real time across social feeds, news, YouTube titles, Reddit, and even push notifications. Users pick shows, seasons, and “caught up to” episode; the app then filters text and optionally blurs images/thumbnails likely to contain spoilers. It works by scanning on-screen text (accessibility layer on mobile, DOM in browser) and classifying content using a spoiler model tuned for entertainment entities (character names, plot terms, episode events). It’s brutally practical: people don’t need another watchlist—they need protection while they’re behind. Monetization is freemium: free for 1-2 shows, paid for unlimited shows, cross-device sync, and custom keyword packs. Realistically, platform limitations (especially iOS) mean the best experience is browser + Android, with iOS focusing on Safari extension and notification filtering where possible.
