SpoilerShield

SpoilerShield is a mobile + browser extension app that automatically hides film/TV spoilers across social feeds, news, YouTube thumbnails/titles, and comment sections. Users pick what they’re watching (or planning to watch), set a “spoiler window” (e.g., release day + 14 days), and choose strictness levels (hide keywords, blur images, collapse posts, or replace with a tap-to-reveal card). It includes community-updated spoiler phrase packs for major releases, plus personal keyword lists (actor names, plot terms, character deaths, twists). The AI layer classifies text and images to catch indirect spoilers that don’t use obvious keywords, but it’s designed to fail safely: when uncertain, it blurs rather than deletes. Monetization is freemium: free keyword blocking, paid AI detection + cross-platform sync + family profiles. Realistically, it won’t be perfect, but it can reduce spoiler exposure dramatically for heavy social users.
