SpoilSense is a mobile + web AI app for small food businesses to reduce spoilage using simple, low-friction forecasting. It pulls daily sales (POS), inventory counts, and delivery schedules, then predicts item-level “use-by risk” and recommends actions: discount now, prep less tomorrow, freeze/repurpose, or bundle into specials. It also generates a tight daily prep plan and a waste log that’s actually usable (reason codes, photos, dollar impact). The app is realistic about data quality: it starts with rough heuristics and improves as it sees more transactions and staff confirmations. The goal isn’t perfect prediction—it’s fewer bad decisions made too late. It’s built for cafes, bakeries, delis, and quick-service restaurants that don’t have analysts or time for complex systems.
