SponsorSieve is a browser extension (desktop) that automatically detects and skips sponsor reads, self-promo, and filler segments in online videos—without blocking the entire ad ecosystem. Instead of fighting platforms’ ad-blocker detection, it focuses on the part users hate most: long, repetitive in-video sponsorships that waste time and break flow. It works by combining on-device audio/text cues (e.g., “this video is sponsored by…”) with optional community-submitted timestamps, then learns your preferences (skip promos, keep chapter intros, etc.). A lightweight dashboard shows how much time you’ve saved and lets you fine-tune per channel. Realistically, it won’t be perfect: creators vary, and false positives can happen, so it includes an instant “undo skip” and per-channel disable. Monetization is a low-cost subscription for advanced rules and cross-browser sync.
