SporeSent is a mobile + web AI app that helps growers detect and act on fungal disease pressure before symptoms explode. Users place low-cost passive spore trap cards (or a simple DIY slide) in fields/greenhouses, snap a photo in the app, and get a probability-based readout of key pathogen groups (e.g., powdery mildew, Botrytis, rusts) plus a risk trend over time. The app combines image analysis with local weather and crop stage to recommend practical next steps: scout hotspots, adjust irrigation/venting, or time a spray window. This is not a magic “diagnose everything” tool—accuracy is constrained by sample quality and regional pathogen diversity—so the product focuses on a narrower set of high-value crops and pathogens, and it clearly reports confidence and when to send a lab sample. Revenue comes from subscriptions per farm/site and optional trap kit sales.
