SpotToSFX

SpotToSFX is a desktop app (with optional web sync) for sound designers and editors who waste hours doing manual spotting. You import a video, mark moments with hotkeys, and the app instantly generates a structured cue sheet (timecode, duration, intensity, notes, category). It also auto-builds a “shopping cart” of candidate sounds by searching your local libraries via filename/metadata and simple audio similarity, then exports directly to Pro Tools/REAPER via CSV/EDL/markers. This is not a magic “AI makes your whole soundtrack” tool; it’s a pragmatic workflow accelerator that reduces admin work and missed cues. The AI component is limited to suggestions (object/action detection from frames, rough scene labeling, and library matching), with everything editable and transparent. The goal is fewer spreadsheets, fewer forgotten cues, and faster turnovers under real deadlines.
