StageGate

StageGate is a web app (with optional CLI) that acts as a deployment “bouncer” for PaaS releases. It plugs into your CI/CD pipeline and PaaS targets (Heroku, Render, Fly.io, Azure App Service, Google App Engine) to enforce pre-deploy checks that teams routinely skip: config drift detection, required env var presence, database migration safety rules, dependency/license flags, and basic SLO risk scoring. It generates a single go/no-go decision with a human-readable report and an audit trail for compliance. This is not another monitoring tool; it’s a guardrail at the exact moment mistakes become outages. Realistically, it wins by being lightweight, fast to integrate, and opinionated about common failure patterns in PaaS apps (migrations, secrets, scaling, and misconfigured add-ons).
