StageSlate

StageSlate is a mobile + web app for capturing, sharing, and versioning stage blocking and performance notes without the usual rehearsal chaos. The stage manager (or director) taps a simple stage map, assigns positions and movements, and attaches line cues, props, and timing notes. Actors get a clean “my track” view: only their moves, entrances/exits, and notes, with quick search by scene/line. The app keeps a change log so everyone can see what changed since last rehearsal, reducing repeated questions and missed updates. It also exports a rehearsal report PDF and a simple run sheet. This is not a magical replacement for good stage management—if a production is disorganized, the app won’t fix culture—but it can remove a lot of avoidable friction for small-to-mid productions that currently rely on messy group chats and inconsistent notebooks.
