StainScout is a mobile AI + traditional app for secondhand sellers and thrift resellers who lose money to missed defects and buyer disputes. You take a short guided video of an item (front, back, seams, cuffs, collars, soles), and the app flags likely issues—stains, pilling, holes, discoloration, scuffs—and generates a clear “condition report” with annotated images. It also suggests a conservative condition grade and a disclosure checklist you can paste into listings to reduce returns. The app stores reusable inspection templates by category (sneakers, denim, outerwear, bags) and creates a shareable report link for buyers. Reality check: it won’t be perfect on every fabric or lighting situation, but it can reliably catch common, high-cost misses and standardize how you document condition—especially for high-volume sellers.
