StapleSense

StapleSense is a mobile app (with optional web dashboard) that keeps a lightweight, realistic inventory of pantry staples—rice, pasta, flour, oils, spices, canned goods—without turning your kitchen into a warehouse management project. You add items by quick barcode scan, receipt import, or a simple “+/-” button when you cook. The app learns your household’s burn rate (e.g., olive oil every 5 weeks, rice every 3) and predicts “will run out by” dates, then generates a tight shopping list grouped by store aisle. It also flags waste: duplicates you keep buying, items expiring soon, and staples you never actually use. This is not a recipe app pretending to be inventory; it’s a replenishment and waste-reduction tool focused on staples. Monetization: freemium with a $3–$6/month plan for multi-user households, receipt sync, and retailer integrations.
