StartReceipt

StartReceipt is a mobile + desktop companion that forces a tiny, verifiable “start” before you can escape into distractions. You choose a task and a 3-minute starter action (open file, write 50 words, run one command, sketch one screen). The app then requires a receipt: a screenshot, a short screen recording, or a file diff pulled from your workspace. If you don’t submit the receipt within a set window, it triggers consequences you pre-commit to (auto-donate to a disliked cause, message an accountability buddy, or lock distracting apps/sites for 30 minutes). It’s not a to-do list; it’s a start-enforcement system. The AI component only helps define realistic starter actions and detects whether the receipt matches the task (basic verification, not “magic productivity”). This is intentionally strict—people who hate friction won’t like it, and that’s the point.
