StdTrail is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that converts standards and guidelines (ISO, SOC 2, NIST, internal SOPs) into a living, versioned checklist tied to real evidence. Teams import a PDF/URL, map clauses to controls, assign owners, and attach proof (screenshots, policies, tickets, logs) with timestamps. The system maintains an audit trail of what changed, when, and who approved it, and generates a “compliance packet” per standard version. It’s an AI-assisted app: AI helps extract clause headings, suggest control mappings, and flag missing evidence, but the workflow is designed to work even when AI is wrong (human review gates, confidence scores, and required sign-offs). The product is intentionally narrow: it’s not a full GRC suite; it’s a lightweight standards-to-evidence tracker for small-to-mid teams that can’t afford heavyweight platforms.
