StencilTrail

StencilTrail is a mobile + web app for discovering, documenting, and time-stamping street art and murals with an emphasis on ephemerality. Users upload sightings with GPS, photos, and optional artist attribution; the app builds a living map that highlights what’s new, what’s fading, and what’s been painted over. An AI layer suggests likely artist/style matches, generates concise descriptions for accessibility, and flags duplicates so the map doesn’t become spam. The core value isn’t just “another map”—it’s change tracking: follow a wall, get alerts when it changes, and view a timeline of the same location over months. For cities, festivals, and tour guides, it offers lightweight curation tools and embeddable collections. Monetization is realistic: premium “offline packs” for travelers, paid city/festival hubs, and optional patron tips for artists/crews.
