StepGuard

StepGuard is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that reduces human error in high-risk operational workflows by forcing lightweight, context-aware “pause points” before irreversible actions. Teams build short checklists tied to specific triggers (e.g., deploying to production, sending a wire, changing a firewall rule, closing a patient chart). The app pulls evidence automatically where possible (ticket link, approval, config diff, customer ID match) and blocks or escalates when required steps are missing. It logs who confirmed what, when, and why, creating an audit trail without turning work into bureaucracy. StepGuard integrates into existing tools (Slack/Teams, Jira/ServiceNow, GitHub/GitLab, Okta) so it’s not another place people forget to use. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI suggests checklist steps from past incidents and flags risky anomalies, but humans still own approvals.
