StepSentinel

StepSentinel is a web app (with optional Slack/Teams integration) that detects process failures by validating that critical operational steps actually happened, not just that someone checked a box. You define “process proofs” for each step—evidence like a ticket status change, a database migration record, a deployment event, an approval in an IAM system, or a signed-off checklist with timestamp. The app continuously reconciles these proofs against your runbooks/SOPs and raises alerts when steps are skipped, performed out of order, or completed too late. It also creates an audit trail that’s defensible during post-incident reviews and compliance checks. This is not a full GRC platform; it’s narrowly focused on preventing recurring operational misses (handoffs, approvals, change windows, backups, patching, access reviews) that lead to incidents and costly rework.
