SterileBuddy

SterileBuddy is a mobile + web app that standardizes and documents sterile-field compliance in the OR with minimal friction. It provides quick, role-based checklists (setup, draping, line placement, implant handling), timed reminders for high-risk moments, and a simple incident capture flow when a break is suspected (what happened, when, who was notified, corrective action). The app generates an auditable log for quality teams and automatically compiles de-identified trend reports by service line, room, and shift. It’s not trying to “predict infections” (usually unrealistic); it focuses on measurable process adherence and fast escalation. Optional AI features summarize free-text incident notes into structured categories and suggest which policy snippet applies, reducing paperwork. Integrations can push events to existing QI systems, but the MVP can run standalone with exports.
