StitchSpec

StitchSpec is a mobile + web app that converts a photo or sketch into a clean, printable pattern for embroidery, cross-stitch, and simple quilting blocks. Users upload an image, pick a craft type, fabric count/size, and thread palette, then the app generates a pattern grid, color legend, and stitch order suggestions. It also includes a “reality check” preview that simulates how the finished piece will look at the chosen size so users don’t waste hours on an unreadable pattern. This is an AI + traditional app: AI handles image simplification, palette reduction, and line cleanup; traditional tooling handles precise grids, export formats, and measurement accuracy. Exports include PDF, SVG, and a shareable link for selling or gifting patterns. The goal is to save makers from the most common failure: starting a project with a pattern that’s too detailed, too muddy, or the wrong scale.
