StoneProof is a mobile + web app for small and mid-size jewelers to create tamper-evident “intake-to-sale” records for gemstones and diamonds. When a customer brings in a stone for appraisal, repair, consignment, or trade-in, staff capture a guided photo/video set (360° macro, inclusions, measurements), attach cert numbers, and record weight and key notes. The app generates a cryptographic fingerprint of the media and a time-stamped chain-of-custody log that’s easy to share as a customer receipt or insurer packet. It also flags common risk patterns (missing cert, mismatched measurements, suspiciously edited photos) using lightweight AI checks, but it does not claim to authenticate diamonds from photos alone. The goal is simple: fewer disputes, fewer “you swapped my stone” accusations, cleaner documentation for insurance and resale, and faster staff training with consistent intake workflows.
