StoneProof is a mobile + web app for independent fine-jewelry retailers and pawn/buyback desks to quickly screen diamonds and high-value pieces before purchasing, taking trade-ins, or issuing store credit. Using the phone camera plus a small, optional clip-on macro lens, the app guides staff through standardized photos (table, pavilion, girdle, inclusions) and captures paperwork (GIA/IGI reports, receipts). An AI model flags mismatches between the stone’s visible characteristics and the certificate, highlights red flags (laser inscription inconsistencies, suspicious inclusion patterns, report-number formatting issues), and produces a “risk score” with a checklist of what to confirm with a gemologist. It also stores an auditable intake record with time, staff, and customer consent. This won’t replace lab grading—it's a fast triage tool to reduce fraud, returns, and expensive mistakes.
