StoneTrace is a web + mobile app (traditional + AI) that helps buyers, collectors, and resellers verify high-value jewelry and gemstones with a practical, evidence-based “provenance packet.” Users upload invoices, lab reports (GIA/IGI/HRD), photos, and serial inscriptions; the app extracts key fields, flags inconsistencies, and generates a shareable verification link for listings or consignments. It also offers a lightweight chain-of-custody log for repairs, appraisals, and transfers, plus reminders to re-appraise and insure. This is not a magical authenticity detector: it won’t certify a stone without credible documents and expert input. Instead, it reduces fraud and costly mistakes by making documentation complete, consistent, and easy to audit. Monetization: subscription for dealers/consigners, per-packet fees for consumers, and optional paid expert review partnerships with independent appraisers.
