StormShift

StormShift is a mobile + web app that translates raw weather forecasts into route-specific, time-specific risk for commuters and delivery drivers. Instead of generic “chance of rain,” it answers: “If you leave at 5:40 vs 6:10, how much slower will your drive be, and where are the highest-risk segments for hydroplaning, low visibility, or wind gusts?” It combines radar nowcasts, road-surface models, and traffic patterns to produce a simple departure-time slider and a map that highlights the few segments that matter. It also logs what really happened (arrival time, user-confirmed conditions) to calibrate local accuracy over time. This is not a ‘weather app replacement’; it’s a decision tool for people whose schedule and safety are directly affected by short-term weather shifts.
