StorySentry
StorySentry helps parents quickly decide if a movie, episode, YouTube video, or game stream is actually age-appropriate for their kid. Paste a link or search a title and get a plain-English “why it’s safe/unsafe” breakdown: scary moments, bullying, sexual content, substance use, language, and mature themes—plus timestamps when possible. It combines community reports with AI-assisted analysis of transcripts, subtitles, and publicly available metadata, then maps results to your child’s age and your household rules (e.g., “no mean-spirited humor,” “no guns,” “no jump scares”). The app also generates a short parent preview: a 60-second summary of plot and the top 3 potential issues, so you don’t have to pre-watch everything. It’s realistic: it won’t promise perfect accuracy, and it clearly labels confidence and sources.
