StorySprout is a mobile + tablet app (iOS/Android) that turns short, interactive read-alouds into measurable early-learning practice: vocabulary, counting, emotions, and following directions. Parents or teachers pick a theme (bedtime, dinosaurs, starting preschool), and the app generates a 5–7 minute story with built-in “pause and answer” moments. Kids respond by tapping pictures or speaking simple words; the app adapts difficulty in real time and keeps sessions short to match preschool attention spans. A caregiver dashboard shows what the child actually understood (not just time spent) and suggests offline follow-ups like “find three round things” or “act out happy/sad.” It’s an AI app with traditional app components: AI for story generation and adaptive prompts, plus a curated safety layer and fixed skill progression so it doesn’t drift into nonsense. Monetization is subscription with a limited free tier.
